In my launch checklist (that my exclusive email list members receive upon joining), I point out that promoting yourself and your offer in Facebook groups should be one of your top priorities. While some may think Facebook is dying out or not as useful anymore because of other top performing platforms like Instagram and Pinterest, Facebook Groups are still an incredibly effective platform to consider for your marketing strategy. And why is that, you may ask?

Let’s take a look!

Facebook groups are powerful platforms in that you can reach your ideal client with little to no work on your part. You can start real conversations and share/receive valuable content that actually matters to you.

Facebook groups are segmented. You can choose the ones that apply most to you and your niche to find those that are LOOKING for what YOU’RE offering.

The people you connect with in these groups are far more likely to engage with you and your offer than they are on your blog, email, OR even Instagram! I know…it’s hard to believe.

To be honest, I get a large majority of my leads and clients from connecting with them in Facebook groups. I consistently post to a few Facebook groups a day and I make sure to be present and engaging in the groups. I make connections, I put in the work (even if it’s just a few minutes a day), and by building those relationships – I MAKE THE SALE. Not to mention, I’ve learned some pretty awesome sh** from people in similar industries by engaging in groups.

My email list consists mainly of people that have found me through Facebook groups. Whether it’s through my own Facebook group (which asks for their email upon signing up) OR by posting opt-in offer promotional posts to other Facebook groups to encourage people to join my email list. Clever huh?!

Keep in mind, it’s not only beneficial to be a part of and engage in OTHER people’s Facebook groups. In fact, I highly suggest having one of your own in order to grow and connect with others on a deeper level.

When thinking of starting a Facebook group of your own, be sure to dedicate it to your ideal clients. Brainstorm how your group will help them, what you can offer them, and how you can get them into your sales funnel.

With your business, you should already have a handle on who your ideal client is, so figuring out the rest should be easy! You know who you want to connect with and what you can offer them, now all you have to do is go for it.

If you already have a Facebook group and aren’t seeing much engagement, let me ask you this: are YOU posting consistently? You can’t expect others to post and engage consistently in your group if you aren’t leading the trend.

Posting consistently is just as important in Facebook groups as it is on your personal social media platforms like Instagram or LinkedIn. I schedule posts in my own Facebook group as I would on any other platform. Then I post each morning while having my morning cup of tea in different groups.

If you are posting consistently, and still not seeing much engagement, then you should be looking at the type of content you are posting. Is it relevant to those who are joining your group? Is the message clear and informative for those who are reading it? Give your followers prompts, polls, ask questions, and invite them to be a part of your group to get them talking! This is the first step towards building those important relationships.

Each post should have a call-to-action or lead back to your launch. You are utilizing Facebook groups, not to mention every other platform out there, to get people interested in your business or new offer. At the end of every post, tell people why they need what you’re offering and have links to grab that offer. Or ask them questions so you can engage with them in a private message later on and develop the relationship further.

Building relationships and posting consistently in Facebook groups can be tedious, I’ll admit. However, I know that in order to have an epic launch (or in my case, keep the launch momentum going!), I need to show up for my business which means creating the content, posting consistently, and engaging with my ideal clients.

However, all that hard work might not be for everyone. Most people really don’t have the extra time to be creating all that extra content and posting in additional places while still handling the day to day tasks of running your business. I totally get it, because I’ve been there.

But YOU have a choice. You can either continue to feel like you’re back at your 9-5 job, working those long 8 hour days and having no time for yourself and your family. OR you could outsource tasks like content creation and scheduling and get back your freedom that you initially started your business for. Imagine: Being able to stop working at 1 o’clock in the afternoon and going hiking or taking a nap because all the tedious tasks that usually takes hours out of your day are all being taken care of behind the scenes.
